B-24 Engine and Propeller
Possible B-24 Propeller Located
(Discovered September 2006))

We located the following American propeller at the home of a Palauan man who lives on Yap and runs an antique business. He said his brother took the propeller of the wing of a bomber on the Gagil-Tamil side of the island. He said part of the plane had been hung-up on a large tree since the war until a recent typhoon dropped it to the ground. The propeller seems to match the dimensions of a B-24 prop; however, we will need to examine the prop in my detail on our next visit. We found the prop at the Palauan man's home the last afternoon of our visit. He also had a number of Japanese machine guns and some muskets and cannon from the German colonial times on the island.

Please compare the pictures of the new B-24 propeller to the right with the picture of the propeller we found at the Palauan man's home. The size and shape seems to fit the B-24 prop. This could be a prop from the Anthony of Coleman plane (more likely the Anthony B-24 lost on August 10, 1944):
