I received another Japanese document about the loss of the Lt. Anthony crew on August 10, 1944. This document states the following "Description at the bottom: Aug.10 AAA shot down a B24, five were seen to bail out and landed on a reef SW of Yap harbor. Two were captured by army". Some Yapese elders we interviewed stated they saw more than two parachutes when the plane went down. One of them said he saw American's swimming out to sea to avoid being captured..
