Next time I'm transitioning through Japan I'll have to check out the restored Zero that was "salvaged" from Yap. This very well could be the Zero that shot down my uncle's plane (we'll never know). This is one of a number of Japanese wrecks near the old airfield. On a number of my search trips to Yap I heard some stories/rumor's about how the Japanese removed a few Zero wreck's off the island to create this one restored version that is now in TOYOYAMA, Aichi Prefecture. It would have been beneficial for Yap tourism if they had made an arrangement to restore a few wrecks and bring one back to Yap, however, I understand the wrecks were likely removed with under the table deals.
