Greetings gentlemen, I am working on a project to honor Lt James McVay of VMF 121. He is alive and well and is my nieghbor. I am working on a giant scale remote control F4U-1 Corsair to replicate his aircraft (or those in his squadron). I am needing some photos of those aircraft if they exist. I have seen the photo of the sqadron around the front of the corsair taken during their training but need some photos of the planes in action on Peleliu. I have spoken mayn times with Mr McVay and he has no photos of his aircraft. He remembers only the vertical white stripe on the rear of the fuselage, just in front of the vertical stabilizer. If anyone has any photos, even partial photos, of the aircraft that were flown by VMF 121 on the island of Peleliu, please let me know. Thank you, Roger Youmans
